"I CAN T COOK!" she groaned!
BUT YOU CAN BE A GOOD COOK IN A WEEK!
Impossible! you say?
IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT BEING A GOOD COOK TAKES, THEN
HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?
The best cooks dont need recipes.
RECIPES ARE SO PEOPLE GIVE THEM MONEY!
Recipes are to use as texts in gourmet schools,
so students can GIVE THEM MONEY!
I have eaten cooking from several graduates and,
theyre not all gourmet cooks,
but they HAVE CERTIFICATES! UNDERSTAND?
This article will give you only one easy recipe. It will give you mostly, the ideas you will need to play with. It wont
teach what to cook, it will teach you how to cook!
Heres a VERY TYPICAL STORY from a self-taught gourmet cook. She makes food that tastes so good that you cant eat it fast
enough! Know what I mean? Sue started out like most. Listen to her words of wisdom!
My mother did not teach me how to cook, although she was an excellent cook herself. My involvement was limited to just
watching, rather than having an active hand in the cooking.
This observation included the way in which she freely added by her own hand elements that may or may not have been in
the original recipe. She could also prepare foods without referring to any cookbook.
You have an innate sense of proportion and flavor that is instinctive. You will waken it by trial. Throwing or tossing
amounts of something into the bowl to improve the taste will teach you.
The ability to feel free with food is a wonderful quality to have. It can lead to exciting possibilities of flavor! Remember,
this is a learning experience, and the more relaxed you are, the more fun it will be!
When you experiment with textures, colors, and tastes, you are creating a food picture that can please the most finicky
palate. Leave your fear at the door with your preconceptions of what is right in food. What tastes good is the rule!
You're going to be saving a ton of money by cooking. If something tastes odd, THROW IT AWAY! Don't try to save it or you'll
end up with a larger pot of weird tasting food!
By the way, meat costs 4 times as much as vegetables.
Juanita couldnt cook. My cooking sucks! she said. After reading this article, she tried its advice. Now Ive cooked several
meals, they tasted great! I'm very pleased!
With this news, you can learn how to make...

PUT YOURSELF IN HER SHOES!
First, to cook for $5 per week, per person. The story of Michelle visiting my house on Magnolia & 7th. Shed pop in,
& taste what I had cooking in a big pot. MMMMMM! You really cook good! had, So come over any time! from me.
And so she did! Oh, its the same stuff. got, But taste it! returned. Hey, this tastes totally different! Its great! told
a tale.
Learn the $5 budget wonder chiefs secret! (per person, I didnt say miracle chef!) A 5 lb bag of brown rice costs about
$2.95. A bag of Fiesta frozen veggies from Vons, cost 99¢ on 4/10/96. It is balanced nutritionally, but needs spices. Vitamin
B is hard to get, but this has lots, and plenty of fiber, but make sure to drink lots of purified water. (1 gallon a day,
or you fart from all the veggies, and your waste will be hard as a rock, & wont flush! If you make brown rice, mix 50/50 with white or
your waste won't flush. Hard as a rock will be an appropriate description. A squirt
of Palmolive ORIGINAL formula dish liquid added to brown rice's water 5 minutes before cooking makes it fluffy when cooked.
The company says it's safe to mix like this. Not
all detergents are.
I'm writing because you said you're not a good cook.
Season by smell, and less is more. Spices are way better if they are used in minimal quantities. i.e. 40 flakes of dill on
an 8 oz portion are far better than 100.
I like
ground thyme, not fresh or pieces. Fresh garlic pieces in a bottle are the best way to use garlic.
Season after cooking or the spices burn out. A few drops of vinegar or lemon juice perks up a dish...
I like shake of stevia too. Oh,
3/4 can't cook, so don't feel bad.
Have
fun! )
Dried salad dressings are $1.25 for 5-6 meals worth of deliciously zipped up food! Just shake it on, dont add water, and
youll be impressed! Bottled dressings, only slightly more, but they go further.
A small dash of vinegar, (wine vinegars, balsamic, seasoned...) makes the mouth water, when eating. Food is very zesty!
Different dressings, make a well balanced meal delicious, and very different in taste! Add whatever you wish, from distressed
produce throw aways. (Ask nicely at stores, and they gladly give them out.)
Expensive items can be used as merely seasonings, to give a luxury to your banquets. One large shrimp (not small, no taste!),
chopped finely, highly spiced... A GREAT ACCENT!!!
Most poor spend a large portion of their budget on food, because they dont know how to cook properly. Try white pepper,
thyme, sage, garlic, chili peppers, and onion powders for starters. So seasonings dont burn out add them just before serving
and spray with vegetable oil. It bring the spices alive!
Season by smell, ignoring all that youve seen others do. The best cooks, just wing it!
This is exactly how I cook! Chrys told me after reading the preceding. She is a gourmet cook, that supplies a dessert
business, run by her sharp friend Val. (They both own it.)
I add raisins, or grapes, pieces of banana, peanut butter (makes a tasty Thai sauce), at times trail mix, crushed nuts,
(hammer em) or whatever looks good. Garlic salt on popcorn is delicious, as is chili powder too! Expensive foods, make very
spicy, and they go farther. Also serve last. Adventure with eating is fun! (EATEN FREQUENTLY, NUTS & SEEDS CAUSE KIDNEY
STONES WITHOUT ENOUGH WATER)
Want spaghetti sauce cooked 12 hours under pressure, with herbs and spices, piquant and delicious? Put it on your table
in 20 minutes, vegetarian or otherwise also.
Then get raves from family and friends too! Heres the speedy, delicious way! Classico Spaghetti Sauce is cooked 12 hours
under pressure, at the factory. Gourmets will put their professional touch into your kitchen, at your command! (Vegetarian
too!)
Use it as a base sauce, fry fresh onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, hot Italian sausage unless you wish vegetarian, and
the sauce is ready! (Extra seasonings like wine, extra garlic etc, up to you. Use your nose to season. If it smells good,
what do you think?)
Put 2 tbs of any type oil into DRY SPAGHETTI, NOT THE WATER!
Manufacturers instructions are silly. The noodles, watch cooking very carefully. Cooked right, not too mushy, and rinse
in a colander with hot, then cold, and back to hot water. Now you have noodles clean of sticky starch, yet hot and delicious!
Have some precooked rinsed hot, then cold, in a plastic bag or pot with a tight lid. Keep it in the fridge, for snacks,
or when youre gone! Just running hot water, cold (to handle the lumps), then hot again, gets fresh noodles.
Follow the above, for the sauce & youre set! Make sure you have taught kids kitchen safety, before any of this! A
safety tip. Always put the handles of stove top items away from the edges that face traffic. Nothing gets flipped and hurts
anyone, especially kids! Enjoy yourself!
IF YOU WANT TO IMPRESS SOMEONE, PRACTICE ON YOURSELF FIRST! USE YOUR HEAD. YOULL ALL ENJOY THE MEAL A WHOLE LOT MORE!
Caution, if something comes out wrong, throw it out. Try to repair it, youll have a bigger bunch of bad tasting food!
BE VERY NICE, OR PEOPLE WONT WANT TO BE AROUND YOU,
NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU CAN COOK!!!
Grilled Orange Egg Custard
Categories: Desserts, Camping food
Yield: 1 servings
1 Orange or Grapefruit
1 large egg
2 tb milk
sugar & cinnamon to taste
With the navel at the bottom, slice off the top of the orange & dig out
all the pulp and fruit (to eat!!)... save the "orange cup"... in fact,
serve oranges during dinner & get evryone to save their orange cups for
this.
Crack egg into a bowl with the milk, sugar & cinnamon and gently whisk it
a little with a fork, but don't over mix, you want the lumps of smooth egg
white when it's cooked.
Place egg mixture in the orange cup & place them over a grilling stand
over EMBERS (not the fire).. wait till egg looks cooked, but not hard.
Eat!
Yum!
