WE DON'T SELL THIS. IT'S MERELY RESEARCH THAT MY FRIEND USED. IT WORKED! What is it about Beta glucan that
caused me to add it to my cancer fighting regime?
The doctors had given up on me after 3 years of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant for my Stage IV non-hodgkins t-cell
lymphoma. In addition, chemo had destroyed my spleen which had to be surgically removed.
Since the standard medical community offered me no hope, I entered the world of researching alternative approaches. Deciding
where to spend limited financial resources with little time to make dramatic health improvements was quite intimidating and
very confusing.
One thing I knew for sure . . . enhancing my immune function was a very basic thing I could do to help my body fight off
the stage IV cancer and escape the doctors' "death sentence."
Surprisingly, I disscovered there is a fine line between boosting your immune system and over stimulating it. If your immune
system is over stimulated, you would be more susceptible to allergic reactions and at worst promote auto-immune conditions
like diabetes, lupus and arthritis..
Through research and talking to health professionals, I learned that Beta glucan had been studied for over 30 years and had
over 1,800 MedLine references and 800+ peer reviewed studies.
These university and independent laboratory studies, while not FDA approved, demonstrated to me that Beta glucan was the most
effective immune modulator ever discovered.
Respected medical centers like Sloan Kettering, Cornell University, Brown University, U.S. Armed Forces Radiobiology Research
Institute, Auburn University, University of Massachusetts . . . just to name a few . . . showed that, Beta glucan causes your
macrophages (your first line of immune defense) to react aggressively against threats foreign to your body (cancer cells,
bacteria, viruses bacteria etc.). Beta glucan, also, helps your immune system to very accurately recognize "self" so that
you don't experience auto-immune reactions.
What was it like to have a suppressed immune system?
Cancer allowed me to experience what life is like for an elderly person in poor health . Many weeks I could not do simple
tasks like opening jars, focusing my eyes to read and walking to the mailbox. Some days just eating a meal with family took
all my strength.
If I had one more stress like catching the the flu or breaking a bone from a fall, that stress would send me to my grave.
A normally healthy person would find such problems inconveniences.
Going through bone marrow/stem cell transplant is as close to having no immune system as anyone can go and live to tell about
it. I had to live in a sterile environment to minimize risks and challenges to my immune system.
During my cancer ordeal, I wasn't a senior citizen but merchants would automatically give me senior citizen's discounts because
of my frailty. Being weak and frail is a condition that I hope to never experience again.
When my health was restored through concentrating on simple things like beta glucan that anyone can do to their enhance immune
function, my body went through a "reverse aging" process.
I now appear young for my age especially for a person who has been through such an aging cancer ordeal. Don't get me wrong
. . . the results of stresses my body endured from chemotherapy will always be with me. However, I was able to return to
enjoying life and activities that I took for granted before my cancer experience.
This website shares one of the things i.e. beta glucan that I feel helped me in my cancer recovery and more importantly to
encourage others that there is always hope no matter how grim your condition. For those who are discouraged, maybe my story
will be an encouragement.
While beta glucan isn't the "magic bullet," I feel as though it is one of the most effective things that I did to overcome
stage IV cancer and continue to do now to enjoy robust good health.
