the poetry teaching article.

HIS TOUCH By Kitten
Warm as the morning sun,
Gentle as a soft breeze
Eyes of Blue passion
Touching my soul,
Knowing my heart was his only goal.
Seeing me for who I am,
Accepting me as I am.
Am I seeing what I want to see?
If then, heartache when
He comes to me
He comes for me
For he knows I am his fool
His loving, loving fool
Yet they say it's better
To have loved and lost
You're dead a long time

WRITE POETRY IN 10 MINUTES!
You just have to know the way. Free verse, is merely saying what you want, in rhythmic, well chosen words. They do not have
to be restricted by rhyme.
Rather choose them for their flavor, or things they imply. IE : odor VS fragrance, which word would best describe flowers,
which rags?
Look up words you wish to use in thesaurus, on computer, at your fingertips! For getting the rhythm, say the words aloud.
Repetition of words is one way to add cadence or beat.
One makes their own path.
DON'T LET OTHERS DISCOURAGE YOU.
Fools downgrade others because they aren't worth a shit, or are jealous. It makes them feel better. Stay away from those
types, don't show them.
Show your poems to positive supportive people. Sharing your life with those types will give your life a lift!
When I Think of You
Love is beautiful
Makes me smile
When alone
Together
In solitude
You are there
